Now, when you embark on this journey, I encourage you to make a large batch and freeze the excess in appropriate portions. Then you can sneak into the freezer and take out a bag a couple of hours before you need to bake your pizza.

Pizza is just one of our favorites at home, and we usually make our own tomato sauce. It works wonders on all the classic pizzas, and it just tastes even better when you make it yourself from scratch.

If you have leftovers of the sauce, you can easily use it in pasta sauce, or other dishes, or as I mentioned, freeze it for the next time your family craves homemade pizza.

Salt and pepper – It’s important to season to achieve the perfect balance.

Olive oil – Also contributes to the flavor, so choose a good olive oil if possible.
