Crispy Chicken with Mustard Dip
We love chicken at home, especially crispy breaded chicken, which is a favorite dish for both kids and adults.
We have become really fond of making it in our air fryer. It’s quick and easy, and you can make delicious crispy breaded chicken while saving on oil at the same time. I think it’s just as delicious to serve as fried chicken.
And with a good mustard dip, it just doesn’t get any better!
Chicken – We use ordinary chicken breast, which is cut into suitable pieces.
Mayonnaise – The chicken is first dipped in a mixture of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. It tastes really delicious and makes the breading stick well to the meat.
Panko breadcrumbs – Panko breadcrumbs are a slightly coarser type of breadcrumbs that make the chicken super crispy and delicious. If you can’t find panko, you can use regular breadcrumbs, but it won’t give quite the same result. Panko can be purchased at larger supermarkets or at Asian grocery stores.
Parmesan – Parmesan in the breading makes the chicken extra delicious.
How to make air fryer crispy chicken?
This air fryer recipe is really easy. First, the chicken is cut into suitable pieces and then dipped in a mixture of mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Afterward, they are coated in a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, and various spices.
Once the chicken is breaded, it is placed in the air fryer, sprayed with oil, and cooked for 10-12 minutes. Meanwhile, you can prepare the dip by mixing sour cream, olive oil, mustard, honey, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper, and then you are ready to serve the chicken.

- 600 g chicken breast
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 2 dl panko breadcrumbs
- 1 dl parmesan cheese finely grated
- 2 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oil for spraying
- ½ dl sour cream
- ½ dl olive oil
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ tsp salt
Cut the chicken into suitable pieces. Put the chicken pieces in a bowl together with mayonnaise and dijon mustard, and mix it well.600 g chicken breast, 3 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tsp dijon mustard

Coat the chicken pieces in the breading, and then place them in a layer in the air fryer basket. Spray with oil.1 tsp oil
- Air fry the chicken pieces for 10-12 minutes at 205 degrees Celsius. While the chicken is cooking, you can mix the dip.
