Recipe for baked plums
Sweet baked plums are a wonderful late summer or autumn dessert. The plums can be served warm or cold with, for example, vanilla ice cream and toasted oatmeal or with vanilla cream or whipped cream.

8 plums 1 vanilla bean 50 g sugar ½ lemon zest
Turn on the oven to 200 degrees Celcius.
Cut the plums in half and remove the stone.

Place the plums in an ovenproof dish with the cutting surface facing up.
Scrape the vanilla out of the pod and mix with the sugar. Grate the lemon zest and mix it with the sugar.
1 vanilla bean, 50 g sugar, ½ lemon
Sprinkle the sugar with vanilla and lemon zest over the half plums, also place the empty vanilla pod in the dish.
Bake the plums in the oven for 15-20 minutes until they are completely tender.
Serve the baked plums with the plum syrup from the bottom of the dish, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream, and possibly toasted oatmeal with almonds.
