Ingredients

  • 1 top sirloin cap roast approximately 1300 grams (2.87 pounds)
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Take the roast out of the refrigerator about 1 hour before cooking.

  • Prepare the roast by rinsing it in cold water and patting it dry with kitchen paper. Remove any membranes and excess fat from the back. Score the fatty side with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut into the meat. Rub the roast with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
½ tbsp olive oil, Salt, Pepper
  • Now, place the top sirloin cap roast on the rack in the air fryer and cook it for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • After 15 minutes, reduce the temperature to 150 degrees Celsius (302 degrees Fahrenheit), and continue cooking the roast for approximately 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 57 degrees Celsius (135 degrees Fahrenheit).
    - Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature along the way. Air fryers can vary in how they heat, so the internal temperature is a reliable way to ensure proper cooking.
  • Once the desired internal temperature is reached, remove the roast and place it on a cutting board. Let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Note:
Air fryers can vary in their heating capabilities, so the first time you try this recipe, it's important to experiment with the cooking time and check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer. Our machine is a Cosori Dualblaze, and the provided time works well with it. If you're using a different air fryer, you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
